As the second longest river in Europe and the waterway which flows through the most countries in the world, the Danube is a popular destination for European river cruises. The city of eight bridges, Budapest is a popular city break destination and a fantastic port of call on any Danube River cruise. Join the locals at one of the many thermal baths or take a stroll in the city park.
Welcoming you to Romania is the imposing site of the Face of Decebalus, carved from stone into the side of the gorge. Decebalus was the last king of Dacia, an ancient land situated in modern day Romania.
As you approach the Black Sea, you will sail into the Danube Delta, a preserved area of marshland and river islands. These white stalks are just some of the birdlife you will find here.
