Iceland Cruise

30
September 2016

In August 2016 I enjoyed a cruise around Iceland. After a short flight to Edinburgh I embarked Black Watch for 9 nights.

After a stop in the Faro Islands we visited four ports of call in Iceland including Akureyri, Isafjord and Reykjavik, and of course a visit to Reykjavik wouldn’t be complete without a trip to the Blue Lagoon.

To see a destination still in its infancy for tourism allows for a true insight into local culture and what a remarkable place Iceland is.

From its waterfalls to the local’s hospitality, Iceland is a place that exploration is key. Although we travelled by cruise ship I would like to explore this unique landscape by road allowing more time to just stop and enjoy those moments that we are often too busy to appreciate.
