Making The Most Of A Stay In The Black Forest

5
May 2016

The Black Forest is one of the most scenic parts of a country that rarely gets the recognition it deserves for its beautiful nature spots. We have already looked at how you can enjoy a German holiday in the heart of nature, but here we will look specifically at how you can get the most out of a stay in the highlands of the Black Forest.

The Red Inclusive Card is offered by a number of hotels, campsites and apartments throughout the region, from Eisenbach to Häusern, and gives you the chance to save money on around 70 different local attractions. There are over 300 accommodation options in total and all you need to do to qualify for a card is stay for a minimum of two nights. You will receive your Red Inclusive Card when you check in and will be able to use it every day during your stay, including the days on which you arrive and depart.

Whilst we can help you find the perfect accommodation that offers this exclusive access pass, here are just a few of the things you can use it on.

Free Ski Lift Pass

Ski Lift

If you are travelling to the Black Forest in the hope of hitting the winter slopes, you'll be able to get so much more skiing done with a free lift pass at a variety of different centres. Not only will you have unlimited access to the 31 different slopes in Feldberg, you can also make your way up the pistes in Thurner, Rothaus, Dittishausen and many more places besides.

Free Entry To Aqua Fun

Waterslide

Families visiting in the summer months will love the chance to spend the day at Aqua Fun without paying a penny. This outdoor waterpark is located on the shores Schluchsee and features a range of wet and wild activities for people of all ages. There's a giant 105m long waterslide, numerous pools to relax in and a play area where children can run wild. You can also play some football and volleyball on the grassy areas if you'd rather not take the plunge. Incidentally, there is even more excitement to be had at the nearby Fun Park. The activities here include dry tube slides, sledding and even snow golf in the winter.

Relax At Radon Revital Pool

Sauna

Any adults looking to escape the stresses of their day to day lives will be interested to know that the Red Inclusive Card offers free entry into the Radon Revital Pool for four hours each day. As well as therapeutic spas and wellness treatments, you can truly unwind in the sauna garden or around the cosy indoor fireplace, depending on what time of the year you visit.

Free Cable Car Ride And Black Forest Ham Museum Entry

Feldberg Cable Car

For some of the best views over the Black Forest, why not take a ride on the Feldberg Cable Car. One ascent and one descent per day are included with your card, taking you to heights of 1,450m in a comfortable gondola. The Feldberg Tower is located nearby and, whilst its 11th-floor observation platform will offer more breathtaking views, its Black Forest Ham Museum will show you some of the culinary traditions of the region.

Assisted Two-wheeled Travel

Electric Bike

If you just want to explore your surroundings without a specific final destination in mind, there are e-bikes available to rent in various places throughout the Black Forest. Your Red Inclusive Card gives you three hours free rental and the opportunity to take a free guided tour every Saturday. This is definitely one of the best ways to enjoy the Alpine scenery and clean mountain air in this part of the world.

There are far more discounts available that can fit into one blog post, but it's safe to say that your stay in the Black Forest Highlands will be made all the better by the Red Inclusive Card.
