The romantic Passau Christmas Markets are situated in front of the beautiful St Steven's Cathedral in the Old Town centre of Passau. With about 70 selected little stalls selling a large variety of Christmas goods and presents made by local craftsmen, there are plenty of opportunities to buy gifts and presents for loved ones. You will also find a wealth of Christmas specialties such as the traditional Lebkuchen, Glühwein and bratwurst.  

Every day, different choirs and folk music groups perform and delight the market's visitors. The beautiful sounds echo through the city's streets and alleyways providing an enchanting sound that can be heard throughout the city. One of the musical highlights to be found here is a concert by Germany's most famous choir - the Regensburger-Domspatzen - held at St. Stephen's Cathedral.

The Passau Christmas Market is easy to get to with good train and bus links ensuring visitors are able to make the trip. You could also take the Christmas Market Express, enjoying views of the charming old quarter and historic city centre of Passau.
