Ulm

See OfFers

Ulm lies on the river Danube in Germany and boasts the world-famous Ulmer Minster with the highest church tower in the world.

At 161 metres, it offers fantastic panoramic views of the city. The interior of the cathedral contains many interesting features including the Hans Multscher alter. Worth a visit is Ulm's historic Fishermen's and Tanners' Quarters, indicating what life was like 500 years ago. Half-timbered houses, charming alleys, picturesque bridges and squares add to the charm of this former imperial city. On the hills around the city, there are the majestic buildings of the former Bundesfestung, a gigantic fortress all around the cities of Ulm and Neu-Ulm.

Ulm is a market town for the areas between Stuttgart and Munich and so offers good shopping for the visitor. The pedestrian zones provide specialist department stores and on the outskirts of the city are huge shopping malls such as the Blautal centre or the Neu-Ulm Multscher Centre.

If you are looking to stay in an alternative part of Germany, we can offer many other accommodation options including Bonn city breaks and hotels in Regensburg.
