My favourite destination to visit is:

Spain. My Spanish is pretty good (learned whilst working 7x seasons as a holiday rep in my 20's in Mallorca, Fuerteventura and Andorra). I find I'm treated extra special by the Spanish when I speak to them in their language.

My favourite ship/train/tour is:

Sailing along the Rhine and Moselle. Sitting on deck with a cold beer watching the beautiful scenery drift by. Lovely quaint villages on the riverbank with half-timbered buildings, spires and cobbled streets. Always something to see on both banks as you make your way along the river on your floating hotel.

My travel bucket list contains:

Japan, a Mekong river cruise, a New England in the fall river cruise and dancing the tango in Buenos Aires.

My expertise include:

Ocean and river cruise and escorted touring. I have been on over 40 ocean cruise ships, 30 river cruise ships and have a good understanding of the different brands and products.

Destinations I have visited:

47 different countries including; The Maldives, Borneo, Australia, Cuba, China, Malaysia, South Africa, Kenya, many cities in the USA, Canada, almost half the countries in Europe, and more...

I started work in travel in:

I got a job training holiday reps in the early 90's. I decided I needed 'hands-on' experience so went to Mallorca to do a Summer season repping. I enjoyed it so much I never went back to the UK office to be a trainer, and instead went out to Fuerteventura for a winter season and then did a further three summers in Mallorca and two winters in Andorra as a ski rep.

My favourite travel memory

It's tough to pick just one! It's a close tie between 1) Flying over Sydney opera house and Bondi beach in a seaplane in Australia. Absolutely stunning and something I will never forget! 2) Seeing the orangutans in Borneo at the Sepilok rehabilitation centre. Majestic creatures and so 'human-like'.
