In 1996, Saga brought its experienced and assured brand of travel options for the over 50s to the seas. Just as you would expect, everything is tailor-made for travellers in this age bracket, including a high number of cruises sailing directly from the UK and the fact that so much is included as standard.

There's also a big focus on making sure solo cruisers are welcomed just as warmly. Single cabins ensure you don't need to pay a supplement and activities like the 'Singles Mingle' drinks party and 'Singles Lunch' mean there are plenty of opportunities to meet fellow cruisers.

The boutique fleet carries no more than 999 passengers per vessel, meaning space is high but the ships themselves are still compact. The destinations visited cover regions such as the Mediterranean, Caribbean and the Norwegian fjords, with a wide range of itineraries that even include excursions.

Venues like The Club, The Grand Dining Room and Amalfi bring some elegance to any evening and the menu options will allow you to indulge a key passion of almost every cruiser - enjoying high-quality cuisine.

Plus, there's no need to worry about how much all of this is going to cost. All of your dining and all but a select few drinks options are covered by Saga's all-inclusive offering, leaving you to forget about drinks bills and focus on having a great holiday.
