We flew from Gatwick, but from our area I would definitely recommend Stansted Airport.
Rail Transfers from Schiphol Airport to Centraal Amsterdam Station take only 15 minutes and there are several trains. It is a very easy 10 minute walk from the station to where most River Ships are moored.
This is what Amadeus say about their product and I can certainly agree with this statement:
"You’ll leave feeling better than when you arrived while sailing along the mighty rivers in the Amadeus Princess. A truly “luxury floating hotel,” the Amadeus Princess enchants with river breezes and stunning views. You’ll enjoy European hospitality and impeccable service from our 40 crew members. Include a day of pampering and soak up all the benefits our Wellness Club and Salon has to offer, including a gym and professional hairdresser. Savor epicurean excellence from our international chefs in our Panorama Restaurant and Bar."
We were on board and had a quick ship tour and looked at all the decks and public areas. Our cabin was on Deck 3 and was very spacious, clean and tidy. Comfortably elegant, staterooms have everything you need for a great cruise. Panoramic windows, the Amadeus Signature Bed, upscale bath amenities and shower, a wall-mounted flat screen TV, WiFi, a desk and a safe to secure your valuables.
The ship was built in 2006, but certainly doesn’t look over 10 years old. It looks quite modern on board. Food on board was excellent and the service was very good. All staff were very friendly.
