I was very lucky to be invited to the christening of the Amadeus Silver II. Luftner cruises are a family run business who are very passionate about river cruising. The interior furnishing are all hand picked by Mrs Luftner. The Amadeus Silver II feels much more spacious than I imagined a river cruise vessel would.
The food onboard is prepared by Austrian trained chefs who use fine local ingredients and regional specialities. Meals are taken in the Panorama restaurant and include an extensive buffet breakfast, three course lunch and five course dinner. Free-flowing quality red and white wines from Europe’s famous wine regions, beer and soft drinks accompany every lunch and dinner onboard. Complimentary coffee, tea, hot chocolate and water is available 24 hours a day.
