Thrills And Spills The Family Can Share Together

4
May 2018

Some theme parks find it hard to strike a balance between fast thrills for adults and gentler attractions for the younger members of the family. However, Europa-Park definitely hits a sweet spot, providing a number of adrenaline pumping rollercoasters alongside bumper cars, boat rides and a fairytale forest, making it incredible value for money.

There are more than 150 attractions in total, ranging from the loop-the-looping, 4Gs-pulling, 0 to 60 in 2.5 seconds-ing Blue Fire Megacoaster to the relaxed action of the Ba-a-a Express, which allows children to join in with the hands-in-the-air fun too. And there are new rides added all the time. In fact, in 2017, Europa-Park added an entire new land aimed at kids. The Irish-themed Children’s World joins 14 other areas based on European countries and featuring rides, play areas and shows that the little ones will love.

But Europa-Park is not just about adults and children enjoying different attractions at different times. There are plenty of family rides that allow the whole group to experience the fun together. For example, ARTHUR is a floorless coaster that makes you feel like you have been shrunk down to the size of an insect and takes you through a magical underground world. Similarly, families will love sharing in the VR adventures that are available on rides like Alpen Express and the forthcoming Can Can Coaster, whilst the 4D wonders of Voletarium will excite guests of all ages.

Perhaps the biggest reason that Europa-Park represents serious value for money, though, is the fact that the fun doesn’t stop with the rides. Throughout the day, high-energy performances take place on open-air stages and inside theatres, providing an entertaining break from the rides or just a chance to let your lunch digest before you tackle Silver Star one more time.

And, if you don’t consider yourself a theme park fan, there is plenty to look forward to besides the rides. As well as the live shows, you can take a stroll through Grimm's Enchanted Forest, admire the Formula One cars in the Mercedes Benz Hall, splash around in the Hansgrohe Water Playground or evade the laser beams in The Queen's Diamonds. There’s so much for everyone to do that you’ll be glad there are five themed hotels onsite, giving you somewhere to rest your weary legs at the end of an action-packed day.
