Enghien-Les-Bains is a commune in the north of Paris, France. It’s located 13.5km from the city centre and is famous for its spa resort, Spark, that was developed in the 19th century, near the Enghien Lake. These mineral waters were discovered 200 years ago.
Enghien-Les-Bains is the only spa located within the Ile de France region and provides a water course, sauna and Hamman, along with jet-filled and massage pools. Massages are available, as well as access to the gym. Sunbeds and towels are available around the pools with scheduled aqua gym classes every day. The sulphur and calcium-rich waters are around 15°c and are said to help with respiratory problems. Treatment programmes between 6 and 10 days long are also available for people who wish to quit smoking. Spa Diane Barrière is another spa resort that offers beauty treatments such as massages, anti-ageing coaching and anti-stress treatments, through the use of saunas, steam rooms and a gym.
After your treatments, you should definitely visit Le Cacaotier, a chocolatier located near the Spark thermal spa. This chocolate shop provides a unique variety of confectionary created through traditional handmade procedures.
