I couldn’t really say, it’s like asking which my favourite child is…there are so many amazing places in the world. I suppose my top three would be New York, the Swiss mountains and any medieval German town.

My favourite ship/train/tour is:

Amadeus Cara, the Bernina Express in Switzerland, overland trips in Zimbabwe and Zambia.

My travel bucket list contains:

The Rockies, Japan and San Francisco.

1983 as a Trainee Travel Consultant for Fairtax Travel Ltd in Bury St Edmunds.

My favourite travel memory

Exploring New York City - I love exploring cities and my favourite travel memory is my first trip to New York; getting up early just as it was getting light and the city was waking up; walking to a small local diner and having breakfast with the locals and then exploring everywhere on foot, with no real destination or schedule in mind. New York had been on my bucket list for a number of years and I can still recall the excitement of looking out of my hotel window on the 26th floor, seeing the city below me and not quite actually believing I was finally there.
